In 2004, Chengdu Holy was invited to participate in the Cryogenic Ground Support Equipment System of the International Space Station Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) seminar which was hosted by renowned physical scientist and Nobel laureate professor Samuel Chao Chung TING. After that cryogenic experts, from the United States, Russia, Sweden, China and other seven countries, went to more than a dozen of professional cryogenic equipment factories for field investigation and demonstration, and selected Chengdu Holy as the only supporting production base.
Responsible for the design, manufacture and installation of the Vacuum Insulation Hose, the Liquid Helium Container, the Superfluid Helium Test, Experimental Platform of the Cryogenic Ground Support Equipment System, and participate in the installation and debugging of CGSE System. Thus, the comprehensive research and development level of Chengdu Holy and Mr. TAN Yi’s team has been recognized by international high-end scientific research institutions.
